I collaborated closely with the Lowe’s team to create a new marketing tool for select PRO building products, distributed by BlueLinx, a nationwide building materials distributor. These products encompass all parts of the construction process, inside and out, and can be sourced directly through Lowe’s. Displaying these sample boards in a prominent area of the store targets contractors and builders who may not be aware of the vast selection that Lowe’s can provide to them. BlueLinx, having just completed a rebranding campaign, can also accomplish building brand recognition through this effective display.
Details: These displays consist of eye-catching 4×4′ panels that effectively showcase various categories of building materials, including Engineered Wood Products, Metal Products, Siding & Trim, Outdoor Living/Decking, Insulation, and Trim boards. These panels were meticulously crafted to align seamlessly with Lowe’s style, colors, and branding, reinforcing a consistent and captivating visual identity.
Objective: The main aim of this project was two-fold: firstly, to streamline the creative process, enabling smoother collaboration between Lowe’s and BlueLinx teams; and secondly, to raise awareness for BlueLinx while spotlighting their range of PRO Products. The objective was to create an impactful visual representation of each product category, allowing up to 5 samples to be showcased elegantly on each panel.
Process / Execution: To achieve the desired outcome, I initiated an iterative design process, working closely with Lowe’s stakeholders and BlueLinx representatives. This involved conceptualizing panel layouts, selecting appropriate materials, and refining the overall aesthetics to harmonize with Lowe’s brand. Additionally, attention was given to ensuring the panels offered practical functionality, enabling easy product access and repositioning.
Results: The successful execution of this project resulted in the creation of visually stunning 4×4′ panels that effectively showcased BlueLinx’s PRO Products. The seamless integration of Lowe’s branding and style enhanced the overall presentation, establishing a strong brand presence for BlueLinx. These panels now serve as powerful tools for building awareness and promoting the featured product categories. Through collaboration and creative expertise, this project achieved its goal of streamlining the creative process and successfully presenting BlueLinx’s product offerings to a wider audience.
